The Transfiguration, casting out a stubborn demon, second passion prediction, who is greatest?

Six days after Peter's confession, Jesus takes Peter, James, and John up a high mountain and is transfigured before them — His clothes become shining and Moses and Elijah appear. A voice from the cloud declares, "This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!" Coming down, they find the other disciples unable to cast out a demon from a boy. Jesus heals him after asking the father, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes" — to which the father cries, "Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!" Jesus again predicts His death and resurrection, but the disciples argue about who is greatest. Jesus sets a child in their midst and teaches that the first must be servant of all. The chapter closes with stern warnings about causing little ones to stumble and the value of being "salted with fire."
